We have reserved a bus that leaves on May 16 at (exactly!) 12:30pm from Manhattan to Oheka Castle. The same bus departs on May 17 at 11am from Oheka Castle back to Manhattan.
The pickup location is at the southeast corner of 3rd Ave en E 53 Str. The pickup location can be reached by subway lines 6, E, and M.
Of course, you can also travel to Oheka Castle on your own. In that case, please let us know so that the bus is not waiting for you!
By train: there is a hourly (24/7) direct Long Island Railroad train from Penn Station to Cold Spring Harbor (Huntington line). The travel time is about one hour. Trains also leave from Long Island City to Cold Spring Harbor (transfer in Jamaica); that journey takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes. A short taxi ride from the Cold Spring Harbor train station gets you to Oheka Castle (call Orange & White Taxi Service, +1 631-271-3600 or Ecotaxi, +1 631-624-3727).
For those who want to spend the night near the wedding venue (and attend the breakfast the next morning!), we have reserved blocks in two hotels.
You can spend the night at Oheka Castle. A double room costs 200 dollar (Chateau Room, 11 available) or 225 dollar per night (Whitney Room, 15 available). Please make a reservation by calling +1 631-659-1400 (extension 0) or by sending an email to reservations@oheka.com. Please mention that you are attending the Jeurissen-van der Maaten Wedding when making the reservation.
You can also spend the night in the nearby Best Western Woodbury Inn. A double room costs 115 dollar per night without taxes (there is a complementary shuttle from and to Oheka Castle). Please make a reservation by calling +1 516-921-6900 or by sending an email to wbgroups@wnwhospitality.com. Please mention that you are attending the Jeurissen-van der Maaten Wedding when making the reservation.
Because we live in a small Manhattan apartment without much space for new stuff, we have a honeyfund (like true Americans!).
This website lets you select and contribute to the various items of our honeymoon.
